About EDO Our Clientele EDO Costs
|
The PatientOvercrowded EDs present patients with long waiting times and an unsafe environment. The academic literature and the lay press have clearly linked EDO to an array of medical maladies that are not being treated as promptly as they were 5-10 years ago and this is leading to a decline in the quality of care and outcomes in the ED patient population. Delays in diagnosis and treatment in the ED for diseases like heart attack and infections is increasing morbidity and mortality, as well as, increasing the cost of healthcare in general. There is financial cost to the patient due to long waits but also for delayed diagnosis and treatment that contribute to complications and prolonged in-patient stays. |
